Return Vector

What returns is not always what was sent.

Reentry corridor analysis / return-path dossier.

Recovered excerpt

The corridor was kept open for forty years on the assumption that the thing coming home would still fit through it. The dossier disagrees. Mass, intent, and meaning all drifted in transit. A return path is a promise made to an object that no longer exists.

A/T
A return path is only comforting if nothing has changed in the object returning.
